You are eligible for transition security training for individuals aged 55 and over if you have:

  • Been dismissed by your employer on a production-related or financial basis on or after January 1, 2023.
  • Reached the age of 55 by the date of dismissal.
  • Worked for the same employer for at least five years.

How do I get access to transition security training?

Register as a jobseeker
at the TE Office within 60 days of being dismissed. Also, remember to request a decision on transition security training from the TE Office.

and arrange for the procurement of training. The local ELY Centre will acquire the training for you, after which you can start your own training journey.
